With intimate weddings becoming more and more common amongst couples, we decided to dedicate this post to those who may be interested in pulling one off! Here are some trends and tips to help you navigate the planning:

Book a photographer! No matter how small, it is still a wedding after all, and you are going to want to look at these images for a long time (like FOREVER)! So make sure you have it well documented. Besides, all rest of the people who are not there the day of (like those fourth cousins, twice removed people you only see through Facebook, or that coworker you say hi to by the water cooler) are going to be asking for them, might as well give them some professional photography.

Have fun with your look! Just because you are not having your wedding in front of dozens of people does not mean that you cannot have fun with your styles! Keep it casual or glam it up, who cares, it’s your day! We love how at this shoot the bride wore a funky bohemian style eyelet gown that perfectly goes with the beachy theme. While the groom kept his look monochromatic and classic with a deep navy suit and light blue shirt.

Plan ahead! Don’t have the first time you see your venue or ceremony space be the day of the wedding! This is no Hollywood Rom Com, as much as you may want it to be, you don’t just magically say “lets get hitched” and then the next scene is you and your love standing on a cliffside effortlessly! The Hollywood film had a location scout and you need to be one for your big day. Walk around, see where the best spot is for your big moment. Even a little planning goes a long way to make the moment perfect.
